Corrosion Resistance

Research at Ghent University shows that after electrochemical polishing, the pitting potential of stainless steel doubles in comparison to all other finishes.

Stick, Non-stick, Cleanability

Research by the research organization TNO shows that the cleanability and resistance to sticking of an electrochemical polished surface, is significantly better compared to other finishes of stainless steel.

This comparative study concerns the surface finishes: mechanical polishing, glass blasting, peening with ceramic abrasives, pickling, passivating and electrochemical polishing.

Rouging : Derouging

Research by Troels Mathiesen, Force Technology, shows that electrochemical polishing, gives the best resistance to rouging.

Detailed information can be obtained from piet.heinrichs@verder.com or surface.packo.be@verder.com.
